Containing meteorite fragments, this ring has the spirit of adventure, to explore the vast unknown of the final frontier.

The Sikhote-Alin meteorite used in this ring fell from the sky in 1947, landing in the Sikhote-Alin mountain range of Russia. It is classified as an iron type meteorite and is estimated to be billions of years old. As the meteorite entered the atmosphere, it began to break apart, scattering itself across the region. Some fragments hit the ground with such force that they buried themselves 20 ft below the surface. The event became well known and the soviet union even issued a special stamp on the 10th anniversary of the fall which featured a sketch of the smoke trail the burning meteorite left in the sky as it crashed towards the earth.

This ring is set with obsidian along with meteorite fragments. The obsidian creates a dark background from which the silver shimmer of the meteorite shines. Tungsten has a similar weight to that of pure gold. If you prefer your ring to have some heft and feel very sturdy, tungsten is your best choice. . If a light weight ring is preferred, black ceramic provides a durable yet lightweight feel and creates a dark black backdrop so your ring will appear darker.

Tungsten is very scratch resistant and durable. Each ring's interior is polished to a high shine and made with a rounded interior, making this ring extremely comfortable to wear. The exterior finish is sleek and polished.
